Thank you for your interest in joining New Brighton Surf Life Saving Club.
Joining is simple, follow the steps below.
How to register
In order to join a surf lifesaving club, you must register with our parent organisation, Surf Life Saving New Zealand (SLSNZ). This is a one-time-only registration, the number stays with you for life. There is no subscription fee to SLSNZ.
To apply online for membership with SLSNZ please click the button, making sure you select ‘New Brighton SLSC’ in the club selection drop down. Please note that registration is required for each individual family member who wishes to become a member of the club.
Are you transferring from another club?
Click here to go to the SLSNZ portal, and enter your SLSNZ membership number. Select ‘Member Lounge’ then ‘Membership Desk’ from the menu. You will then be presented with the option to Request a Transfer or apply for a Secondary Membership to your own club.
Then follow the above instructions to register with New Brighton SLSC.

How to pay
All subs must be paid by 1 December 2023 otherwise you cannot use club equipment or compete in Regional or National competitions.
You can pay your subs with cash, EFTPOS on club days or you can choose to pay your subs by internet banking.
